Trail names and numbers: The Edge Loop, 612, 660, 603, 607, 608, 404, 414, 643, 619, 618, 638, 21 road
Projects and Duties performed:
● Cleared drains and created new drainage where needed.
● Heavy hand dirt excavation and rock work along the Edge Loop trail.
● Cleared BLM and USFS trails and reported damage and trail condition.
● Educated trail users about trail maintenance and CPW OHV grant dollar usage.
● Discussed how OHV sticker money is used and why it is important to register OHV’s.
● Cut corridor and cleared rock debris off trails.
● Stabilized weak trail critical edge with heavy rockwork on multiple sections of damaged trail.
● Moved large boulders to fix problem section of trail ahead of mountain bike race.
● Fix deeply rutted, damaged trail sections by hand filling with rock and dirt (tread fill work).
● Cleared and patrolled 253 miles of trail, maintained 33 miles of trail.
● Pulled Beaver Dam to unclog creek and protect adjacent trail from further flood damage.
● Place rock armoring to harden trail tread at bottom of Edge Loop trail- trail was severely damaged.
● Redid several bermed corners to fix damage.
● Tons of dirt and rock moved by hand to fix major trail blowout section on 5/13.
● Hand winched large boulders in place to stabilize trail where erosion had destroyed trail, reconstruction area of 140 feet.
