Projects and Duties performed:
● Intensively worked the CDT/CT for Saguache removing rocks and installing drainage. The trail was in terrible shape and many through hikers confirmed they were displeased with thew trail condition before TPA work was started. CDT/CT trail users were very pleased with our trail work which made the trail both sustainable and enjoyable.
● Installed drains and removed loose rocks on all trails, cutting corridor as needed.
● Cut out down trees
● Removed rocks and erosion debris from xxx feet of trail.
● Special project completed the last day of hitch where the trail had standing water from Beaver Dams on Dutchman trail. Documented in video in Smugmug.
● Made xx trail contacts, explaining CPW OHV grant funding and how it goes directly towards trail work.
● Made strategic nonmotorized rec contacts on CDT/CT during high use time to show how the motorized community is improving trails for all users.
● Helped at August 3 and 4th Sargents work party, focusing on Baldy Lake trail and flagging work on Longbranch ahead of the work party. (pics below)
